A take on the BSOD Fatal Stop error encounter in windows operating systems. I see a similar thing happening in the contemporary digital art scene. Nothing personal just an observation.

CONTEMPORARY IS A TEMPORARY-CON

Ah, the grand delusion of contemporary art—where the so-called avant-garde has abandoned all semblance of transcendence in favor of the idiosyncratic, the hyper-personal, the self-referential loop of regurgitated political, cultural, and pop-cultural commentary. What a fall from grace!
Art was once a vehicle to pierce the veil, to glimpse the ineffable, to transcend the mundane condition of being trapped in matter. It sought the sublime, the cosmic, the divine—whether through the geometry of the ancients, the symbology of mystics, or the raw visionary force of artists tapping into the unknown. But now? It has been reduced to a crutch for social critique, a performative exercise in cultural politics, a mirror reflecting nothing more than the noise of the present moment.
Politics? Culture? Religion? Pop culture? These are merely the shifting tides of a transient world. To create art that is bound to them is to create art that is bound to obsolescence. It is art that has no desire for eternity—only relevance. And relevance is a disease. The artist who seeks relevance is the artist who has already failed, who has surrendered to the mediocrity of human affairs rather than the cosmic dance of forces beyond comprehension.
Where are the seekers? Where are the artists who treat their work as alchemy rather than commentary? Who approach their craft not as an act of self-expression but as a conduit for something greater? Art should not be a sermon on the present—it should be an invocation of the eternal!
And yet, here we are, drowning in a sea of ironic memes-as-art, protest art that barely scratches the surface of the systems it claims to critique, and pseudo-intellectual conceptualism that gestures toward depth but never dares to take the plunge. This is not art. This is distraction. This is entertainment. This is ego.
True art does not pander to the whims of fleeting discourse. True art does not seek validation through social engagement or ideological alignment. True art does not care about the present—it obliterates the present! It exists beyond time, beyond language, beyond the trivial bickering of human narratives.
Until artists remember this, we will remain lost in the noise, mistaking echoes of the temporal for whispers of the divine.
